ABOUT

Addicted to manic guitars and cyber-punk synths, Gavin Michaels injects a bit of his neon flavored soul into every song he creates.
With themes of unruly love, volatile mental health, and the constant search for identity — along with highly interactive and theatrical live performances — he’s always pursuing a greater connection with his audience. Whether you’re at his show on the west coast, midwest or in New York City, you can always count on feeling welcomed into the community.
He draws inspiration from bands like Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco and Muse.
He is currently based out of Brooklyn, NY.
“I had my first stage dive when I was 16. I remember the lead singer of the punk band I went to see went ‘For this entire song, at least one person in the audience needs to be crowd surfing.’ So I jumped on stage, and I just kind of froze. The bassist was like ‘Dude, go for it! Go! Go!’ so I backed up to get a running start, then sprinted and leapt into a sea of hands and… WOW. I can’t even begin to tell you what a sensation that is. One of the most magical moments of my life. So now with all the music I make, or play with my band, I’m always thinking about how I can get the audience interacting or engaged. Whatever that thing is to bring some of that magic to other people.” - Gavin Michaels
